Christmas 2011

So Greg and I spent Christmas Eve at our house, because I got the flu that night:( Christmas morning I felt a little better so we headed on over to Heidi's for Christmas Day. We opened gifts with everyone and then I spent the rest of the day sleeping in Heidi's room.

The day before Christmas Eve, I went down to Pocatello to see my Dad's side of the family:) Later that night I drove back home for Greg's family party! It was so much fun and I ate WAY to much. We had white elephant gifts and it was hilarious!

(Today was spent being lazy trying to get better, just like anyone else, I hate having the flu!!!)

Four years ago...

Yesterday was the 20th of December and 4 years ago from this day my hubby (boyfriend at the time) proposed to me! I love this man more than ever!:) So here is the story of what went down on 12/20/07 and a little before...

Greg and I started hanging out June 07'. We finally started to hang out, introduced at his apartment, and I say finally because I always knew of him since high school and he knew nothing of me. So when I was 17 I got invited to hang out at his place with his roomie. I couldn't wait needless to say. Me and his roomie at the time were hanging out and were very good friends and getting closer to Greg was my plan. I set my eyes on him and I was determined to get his attention. After two months of trying (not being desperate:) we finally got to the point of dating and seeing one another just us two, no one else. August we were finally together and couldn’t be happier. I put myself out there and said "I love you" first and didn't get shut down, weird! He said it back and we never spent a moment apart after that. After 4 and 1/2 months of dating he popped the question! I was so surprised! We never went ring shopping, we talked about marriage a couple times but I didn't know he thought we were that serious (I wanted to get married or engaged asap but since I was only 17 I knew he was kinda freaked out about the whole thing, and I knew he didn't want to be that serious that soon).

So Thursday December 20th of 2007, I was dropped off at his house by my mother (I got in a car accident a couple weeks earlier so I didn't have a car) thinking we were swapping Christmas gifts, I had a Dixon watch for him thinking that I got him the best gift EVER, I had called him and said I was there and to open the door but he said the door was open so I walked in and there he was.....on one knee with a dozen roses and me saying "thanks babe how sweet are you!" Thinking to myself where is my gift with the flowers in my arms...then he responded with "smell the roses" I then replied I did...here is your gift, giving him the watch in the box....still not understanding. Then he said again, on his knee, "smell the roses" and there it was...my ring attached to the middle rose! He was shaking and could barely speak...with five words he said, "Jaime, will you marry me?" I shouted out YES! I think all of Rexburg heard my answer! He then got up and took the ring out of the rose and put it on my finger. I kissed him, looked at my ring, then looked at his watch box and said, "It's just a watch, sorry". He just laughed and said, "So you said yes right?" LOL! I love him!

My mom came to get me at curfew and when I got into the car, she asked me what I got, and I simply held up my left hand flipped her off with my ring finger and her jaw dropped. What mother wouldn't with a 17 year old daughter sitting there in the passenger seat with a rock on her finger? I was glowing, Still am;)

We got married November 29th 2008 and are fully enjoying the married life. I was asked the other day, "So you're married? Newlywed? I said no, 3 years:) then the person responded with yes you are a newlywed lol. So yes I am newlyish married and wouldn't change it for anything. I love Greg more than words can describe! Yesterday he brought home dinner thinking he knew what day it was and during dinner I asked him, "Do you know what today is?" He sat there and thought and thought....I said" It's not my birthday, not Valentine’s day, and we just had our anniversary..." he sat there and thought....then he said "It's December 20th." I said yes that's right but.....then he shouted "I proposed to you four years ago!" Yes babe:) Good job and thanks for dinner very nice job:)

I love you Gregory Preston Deussen! Happy you picked me to be yours forever! Words cannot describe how happy I am, I love you BABE!:)

Seriously?!?

{My} Husband is the greatest man in this WHOLE world! He surprised me with a new car today!!! I love him so much and everything he does for our family. He is the greatest man I know and the most giving person. Thank you baby for everything you do and for making me the luckiest girl on this planet!

I am so blessed to call you MINE, and I don't know what I would do without you.

Love like Crazy

"They called them crazy when they started out,

I was 17 when I met him,
We have been stuck like glue ever since.
Greg is the one person that GETS me and gives me love that I never would have expected from any one else.
At 17, I said those 3 little words and surprisingly enough I didn't get rejected..hence the 4 years later (3 years married).
((I put myself out there and this is what I have to show for it))
....A world of happiness....
It's gone by so fast, I wish I had a time machine sometimes...
On our Day, 29th of November..
We have Sunday's off so we took yesterday and Monday off which was SUPPPPER nice...it's work work school work work and frankly I'm getting really friggin sick of it but I know sticking with it will pay off. Holy negative Nancy for a second, I apologize ;) Back to our day of celebration..we went to Olive Garden for lunch and did some last minute Christmas shopping and watched movies all day, which was soooo nice to just relax and not worry about work and such but....celebrating our anniversary means it's getting closer and closer to Christmas.

Greg LIVES for it and me not so much, well not much at all. I don't know why I don't like Christmas at all but I try. I {LOVE} the concept of it but hate the music and all the hoopla of it. Just call me The Grinch, which might I add the Grinch has a very Very VERY cute dog:) just like me lol. We have had our Christmas Tree up since Halloween thanks to my handsome hubby. He has put up all the decorations in our house and has even wrapped all of the gifts, we are DONE with shopping:) yay, I hate wrapping gifts too. What would I do without a Christmas Spirited Husband? Probably have a Charlie Brown tree with presents NOT wrapped and Country music instead of Christmas :) I must add that I have a very cute winter themed background on my blog, you're welcome! BUTTT I love this time of year because it means snowboarding, Kelly Canyon's fries, and non-stop pictures and laughing with my momma on the chair lift, ANNND my birthday:) Winter is the best for these reasons and everyone that complains about it should just move to Florida and stay away from me, you live in Idaho therefore you will have Winter 9 months of the year lol. I'm just kidding. Winter does get old but IDAHO is the best:) Hey it is the first of December and not 10 feet of snow like last year, kinda happy kinda sad. I LOVE this season and MOST of what it brings.

I love you babe and here's to forever! You are the world's greatest Husband and take such great care of our family. I would be lost without you and lost without the love we share. I couldn't share this with anyone else. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me and words can't describe how I feel, we better have cute babies;) I can't wait to be the mother of our children and grow old together like my grandparents. They are the happiest couple I know and I hope to live on from their example. I love you Greg! You are my world babe, Happy 3 years love!
