Fourth of July

The fourth was spent here in Rexburg. Greg was in the parade this year:] Aubrey has been in it the past two years so it was fun for me to watch both of them! After the afternoon parade was over, Greg and I got ready to head over to his uncles for a BBQ with his family. The fourth is my favorite holiday hands down. Greg LOVES Christmas and I love the summer holiday:] This was our first holiday spent in OUR home! We got cute decorations for our entry way and I can't believe how much I enjoy decorating...I am still trying to find out where I found my somewhat of ability to decorate. Definitely not from my mom haha! I love you mom ;]

Miss Deussen's Bridal Shower

YES...I haven't blogged since JUNE!!!
So here you go...be prepared for lots of blog posts in one night...I am finally getting caught up. Just in time for the new year:]
If I haven't expressed enough of my excitement for Aubrey and Loren,  you will get sick (love sick) from this post. I am truly so excited for them to tie the knot its ridiculous. Yours truly, Momma Heidi, and Candice hosted Aubrey's bridal shower at my house. Needless to say it was full of many laughs, adult gifts, and fun. I am so happy for the future  Mrs. Buttars. I love my sister in law and her future hubby. Greg and I have so much fun with them and I can't wait for them to live a block away once they get married. I love you Aubrey Elaine!

Home owners!

My dearest bloggers if you don't know already,

Greg and I purchased a home. Yes, Greg 24 and me 22...now home owners (married for almost four years:) Finally a place to call OURS. We should be freaked out about a mortgage payment, utilities for a 2000 square foot home, gas bill, city fees, our insurance, car, truck, and cell phone payment bill... but we aren't. We are 100% in love with OUR home and completely okay with our bills and every bill is almost exciting because it is sent to OUR address.

Mr. and Mrs. Deussen are homeowners and love it! We couldn't be more pleased with our home and love that is located in the place we love. As teenagers we hated it here. We were brats and wanted to be with our friends and that was wherever we were living before Rexburg. After our engagement living in the south and ghetto (no offense) shaped our home living experience quickly. We are so happy to be in Rexburg and love it! Idaho is the perfect place for us and our family.

Here is the story, Greg and I started to look at homes forever ago...not thinking we would get accepted for a HOME loan because we are so young. But we DID get accepted! So then we started to look for homes. With our AMAZING real estate agent we looked at a couple of homes, but our first home stuck out to us. 100 % this was OUR home. And now we OWN this home and couldn't be happier! Thank you Cindy for loving us and helping us! We truly owe you our life. We love you Cindy!

Picture OVERLOAD!

(side note, Father's Day:)
Love all these fellas ;]
First night in OUR home :]

Our favorite hobby

In case any of you didn't know...we love four-wheeling. I think the thing we will miss most when we move into our new home, is four wheeling late at night. Out where we live now we can get away with it. It is dirt and no neighbors. Don't get me wrong I am SOOO excited to move but I will miss some perks we have out here and by perk(s) I mean....FOUR-WhEELING! Since it has been raining all day, there are many puddles out here. I decided it was a great and fun idea to go ride. It was so much fun but freezing and very very muddy. :] I can't wait to go to the DUNES!!! :] Summer days off couldn't come soon enough!

Can't really tell how muddy I look....In the laundry room, FREEZING, :/

Jacob Deussen's Birthday

Jacob seriously knows the meaning of love. It was a while ago, but on a bike ride with a bunch of us...him right behind me, he was complimenting me on my belt, sun glasses, hair, shirt, you name it...he liked it. Four little words came out of his little mouth I was shocked to hear..."Jaime, I love you." Seriously?! How adorable?! I love you too bud. He has loved me since I entered this family and I hope he will continue to do so:] Turing seven he got many gifts any seven year old wouldn't freak out about.
*Lego's
*An Ipod (which he is in complete love with, thanks to grandpa Lee:)
*An Itunes card
*And more...
Hopefully this little guy had a great birthday with a pizza and ice cream party/family. Greg and I were so happy to share this day with him. Love you Jacob!
On a GREAT side note...My amazing.beautiful.thoughtful.sister (best friend) in law had to take pictures for her class and I wanted to help her out. Just like any girl, I am iffy about my body and blah blah blah. But I was happy to help her:]
More happening, Greg and I attended the Annual Broulim's Banquet Dinner. It was our first year attending (hopefully more to come) and it was so much fun. I love nothing more than seeing my handsome husband, that works his BUTT off, get recognized. He deserves the world and I want nothing but the very best for him. I love you GREG!!
 Of course loving Emmy!
Love you Baby!!!

No school on my day off! :]

I have completed a year of college. I survived! :] (and passed) wahoo! Anyways, now that I am finished with school this semester and have the summer OFF, I have Tuesdays and Thursdays to spend with my AAAmazing hubby. An oil change was well over due for my Scion. So today (our day off) we dropped my car off at Teton Toyota, which provided a rental car for us, and off to Shelley we went.
If any of you (if anyone at all reading my blog) are in the east Idaho area, it should be a requirement to visit Hidden Treasures in Shelley. I am in love. Plain and simple. Greg and I picked up a couple of house decorations. We both couldn't get enough of that place. :]
After Shelley we drove back to Idaho Falls and had lunch with Candice and her beautiful babies. Fiesta Ole' never lets me down. I am addicted...well WE are addicted.
While waiting for my car, we killed time by dreaming of our future house (by dreaming I mean walking through Lowe's and The Home Depot) and lounging/watching TV on the living room set up at Sam's Club. Today was very relaxing and very enjoyable. I almost forgot how much I look forward to my day OFF.

Hospital...

Dear Bloggers,
I know that you probably already know, a little over a week ago I went to the ear, nose, and throat doctor. Needless to say I was scared out of my mind. I am more than grateful things went very well. I am so sad for people that go to the doctor and find something wrong. I want nothing but the best for EVERYONE and it hurts my heart no matter what, when stuff goes wrong with anyone. I don't do well at all with the capital D (death) word or the capital C word (cancer). If anyone of you know me at all, you know I don't ever go to the doctor, EVER. I don't even make my blood clot warfarin takin every day forever husband go to the doctor when he needs his levels checked. I know I know he needs to go every two months---we ARE getting better at it :] but he does go, I promise :] Love him ;]

But back to the story, I had a lump on the outside of my throat on the right side. Whenever I swallowed it felt like there was this lump holding my spit and food back (sorry TMI) but I never think anything is wrong with me, I just put it to the back of my thoughts. But after a week, tops, of feeling like chronic acid reflux, I make an appointment with the doctor to see what was going on. I was so scared, I don't even know why. I just over think EVERYTHING! But I get to the doctor at 10:00 a.m. thinking everything is going to be fine...I sat in the waiting room for thirty minutes...thoughts going back in forth of lumps....thyroid cancer...and allergies. I am such a hypochondriac it's ridiculous.

Needless to say after an hour and a half of being at the ear, nose, and throat doctor...I needed an ultrasound....AT THE HOSPITAL! I hate this place!! I hate the smell, the scrubs, the needles, the ER, the stethoscopes, and mostly the "other" throwing up patients. AH! After thirty minutes of checking in...it was time for the ultrasound to begin. I know she was just doing her job but the pressure she was putting on my throat (on the right side) was KILLING me. Tears starting falling from my eyes..I was picturing leaving this world (thanks dumb hospital)...leaving behind almost four years of a fantastic marriage..four years of bonding with a new family...and 22 years of a blood bond no one could replace. Feeling sorry for myself gets the best of my...why? I apologize.

After the results...it was just an irritated muscle from severe acid reflux. Just like everyone else...I have acid in my stomach....but my acid ( 22 years of it) is making its way up into my voice box, which is making it feel like I can't swallow without feeling like a lump is still there. No matter what I do, clearing my throat isn't enough. All I have to say, is I am SOOOOO lucky and happy nothing is wrong. I feel so horrible when I hear things of other people. One thing I have to say from this is, if you feel ANYTHING is wrong....go to the doctor, ALWAYS! Thank you Dr. Peterson!

Hospital bracelet..haven't had one since I was four years old and known as Jaime Kay Merrill...
That whole noodle part went up my nose and down my throat! yucky! Might I add, I had this solution sprayed up my nose that numbed my nose...still weird to see a camera at the end going down your throat :/ ah

Easter and 23 year old Aubrey

So obviously, last Sunday was Easter :] Greg and I went over to his Grandma's house for a family party. As always it was filled with basketball, bike rides to the nature park, and lots of food!

Today, Aubrey turned 23, we are no longer the same age this year! The festivities started at 2:00 with a BBQ, all 11 of us, at Greg and I's. After lunch we played games (which I have to add--while playing games we ALL adapted a southern accent, HILARIOUS!)  and rode four-wheelers. By then it was time to go over to Grandmas for an ice cream buffet and presents! Aubrey is planning on getting a MAC computer so we all pitched in and gave her money so she could get the necessary programs for it:] I am so excited for her! I love you Aubrey, I hope you had an amazing birthday!
 Birthday Girl :]
